From the beginning of December 2015, it will be possible (depending on snow cover of course) to return to the resort via the Jandri 1;
a new blue run, accessible to everyone, all ages, beginners and experienced skiers.
Over 10 kilometres of non-stop descent on blue runs, between altitudes of 3,400 metres and 1,600 metres.
To celebrate the inauguration of this new blue run,
we’re offering you a chance to be one of the lucky few to
ATTEMPT THE TORCHLIGHT DESCENT SKIING WORLD RECORD!
The goal is to bring together 3,000 people to carry out
this extraordinary 10 kilometre
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Skiing ability required to take part in this night-time descent:
- for a child: bronze star level
- for an adult: must know how to ski on all snow types
Please note that the world record is being attempted for skiing: unfortunately snowboards are not permitted.
Your skipass, torch and bib will be provided FREE OF CHARGE.
Dress very warmly.
Head-torches are not permitted: their light is much too bright and the torch will suffice.
But don’t forget to wear a helmet!
Insurance not included. Available to purchase at the ski pass sales: 3€ per day per person.
IF YOU WANT TO TAKE PART IN THE SKIING TORCHLIGHT DESCENT WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT, IT’S VERY SIMPLE:
1 – IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A SKI PASS
Meet at 3,200 metres: you will be provided with a ski bib and a torch before setting off.
2 – IF YOU HAVE PRE-REGISTERED ONLINE
You need to go to the REGISTRATIONS tent situated at the bottom of the Jandri Express from 3pm.
Participants who pre-register will receive the SKIING TORCHLIGHT DESCENT WORLD RECORD certificate!
3 – IF YOU WANT TO REGISTER LAST MINUTE
Come to the REGISTRATION tent situated at the bottom of the Jandri Express on the day from 3pm.
